Chatbot is an interactive agent that makes it easy to monitor and interact with AWS resources in Slack channels and chat rooms. With the Chatbot, you can receive alerts, run commands to return diagnostic information, invoke AWS Lambda functions, and create support cases.

Chatbot is an interactive agent that makes it easy to set up ChatOps for AWS in Slack channels or Amazon Chime chat rooms. With Chatbot, you can receive alerts and execute commands to return diagnostic information, invoke Lambda functions, and create support cases so your team can collaborate and respond to events faster.

Receive notifications

Use Chatbot to receive notifications about operational incidents and other events from supported sources, such as operational alarms, security alerts, compliance issues, or budget deviations. Setting up notifications in the Chatbot console is quick and easy; simply choose the channels or chat rooms you want to receive notifications from first, and then which Amazon Simple Notification Service topics should trigger notifications.

Retrieve diagnostic information

Chatbot supports read-only commands for most Solusoft services, making it easy to retrieve diagnostic information about resources from Slack on desktop and mobile devices. Your teams can more quickly analyze and respond to events by retrieving real-time diagnostic information in a centralized location. You can also start workflows by invoking Lambda functions or create Support cases with a simple command from Slack. Chatbot commands use the familiar Command Line Interface syntax.

Predefined Identity and Access Management Policy Templates

Chatbot provides chat room-specific permission controls through Identity Access Management (IAM). Chatbot’s pre-built templates make it easy to quickly select and configure the permissions you want to associate with a given chat room.
